Topic Adds Danish Hit ‘When The Dust Settles’ And It’s a Powerful Story That Keeps You Wanting More

Topic is a streaming service that is offering users a plethora of unique titles. Such as, the hit Danish series When The Dust Settles. This psychological drama centers around eight strangers who become intertwined with one another after a terrorist attack. This ten-part series stars Karen-Lise Mynster, Jacob Lohmann, Henning Jensen, and Peter Christoffersen.

A Powerful Story

When the Dust Settles is ambitious and powerful. The Danish series approaches each character’s story with the same amount of care as the rest. Wanting to highlight the effect that such a traumatic event would have on an individual person. As the story continues to unfold, you become more and more invested. Until you are sitting at the edge of your seat – immersed in this Danish drama. It’s as Bong Joon-ho said, we need to look outside of our comfort zone. Once we open our eyes to the rest of the world’s projects, we’ll discover an array of content we never knew was there.

Although in a foreign language, When the Dust Settles offers an all too real look into the aftermath of a terrorist attack. The event in the series feels like it was ripped straight from the headlines. It’s anyone’s worst nightmare. It’s because of this tangible storyline that I felt connected in an eerie manner. It was frightening being put in the shoes of these survivors. But, it was a story that begged to be experienced and I could not look away.

Each actor perfectly conveyed the grief, fear, and sense of loss that you would expect anyone to experience during such an attack as this. When the Dust Settles is currently available on Topic and is definitely worth the watch. I would suggest taking each episode in and completely leaving your expectations at the door. It’s a worthy show that will quickly make you forget that it’s in another language. The feelings they experience and that you will feel too are universal.
