Uncharted Brings in Dan Trachtenberg to Replace Shawn Levy as Director

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”13439″ img_size=”650×360″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The upcoming video game turned movie Uncharted has a new director in replacement of Shawn Levy. Dan Trachtenberg is the mastermind behind 10 Cloverfield Lane and will take up the mantle for this Sony Pictures adaptation.

For those unfamiliar with uncharted, it is a PlayStation video game that follows the adventures of Nathan Drake, which will be portrayed by Spider-Man’s Tom Holland in the live-action rendition. Originally, the movie was supposed to have Mark Wahlberg play Drake, but considering how popular Holland has become since his debut within the MCU it only makes sense to have the young actor lead the film.

There is no date yet set for production to begin, but with the director and actor in place, there’s hopes we’ll have more news soon.
