Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing the poetic drama Hamnet on 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD on March 3, 2026. The film is currently available on Digital platforms. Directed by Oscar-winning Chloé Zhao, the film features performances by Academy Award nominee Paul Mescal, two-time Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley, two-time Academy Award nominee Emily Watson, and award-winning actor Joe Alwyn. The film has received eight Academy Award nominations including Best Picture.
Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s New York Times bestselling novel, Hamnet tells the untold story behind one of Shakespeare’s most memorable works, Hamlet. It is an inspiring journey of love and the creative brilliance that shaped a legacy and became Shakespeare’s greatest masterpiece.
