Sony hopes that this film with launch their non Spider-Man universe in a positive light with other films Morbius and Kraven being developed. Sony’s female team up Silver & Black was canned but Sony does hope for solo films starring those characters. You might think you know what is in store for Venom but Ruben Fleischer says there are surprises awaiting us. Riz Ahmed is playing Carlton Drake, leader of the LIFE Foundation, who becomes the symbiote villain Riot but could there be other villains besides Riot? Ruben spoke with Total Film and said this on the potential for other villains
“There are other villains in the movie too – we’re definitely planning a big world with these characters.”
Ruben does not go into detail about what kind of villains we might see but based on the trailer its certain that there will be other symbiotes. Carnage is a villain long been rumored to make his on screen debut in the film but that has not been confirmed. Woody Harrelson has been cast in an unknown role but Woody did comment saying his role was small but he would be back for a sequel. Has to be Carnage right? Well Ruben spoke about that as well saying
“I think it’ll be really fun for fans to go see the movie and see for themselves.”
Stop playing with our emotions Ruben! Actress Michelle Williams spoke about her interest in playing She-Venom, in the comics her character Anne Weying marries and then divorces Eddie Brock before becoming one with the symbiote herself. Ruben was asked about seeing She-Venom and stated “She-Venom would be a dream come true!”, based on his reaction it does not seem likely we will see her in this film[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
