The Flash has included a lot of speedsters in its four-season run. Keiynan Lonsdale first began his character’s story arc as Wally West, Iris’s younger brother. In the third season, West finally became Kid Flash and his performance as Kid Flash was widely praised. Which, was why it was so shocking for the character to take a hiatus during season four and appear on Legends of Tomorrow. Where, he was also praised. Unfortunately, for fans, Lonsdale depart LOT and it looks like he will be wrapping up as Wally West in season five of The Flash.
According to showrunner Todd Helbing, we’ll only get Wally for three episodes in the upcoming season. Keiynan Lonsdale has gone through some soul searching, which is a big cause for him stepping away from the Arrowverse. On social media, Lonsdale thanked the fans for giving him the opportunity to be Wally West and for supporting him not only in his acting career, but in his personal life as well.

I love Kid Flash, I love the family I’ve made, & I’m absolutely in love with the invaluable lessons I’ve learnt along the way. Thank you for believing in me & rooting for Wally to thrive, you honestly helped me see that I did indeed deserve to play him, & that $#!+ right there made me a stronger actor.”
