Gaming has gone from a small, niche technology that only the biggest tech enthusiasts touched. It’s come so far from then. What was once seen as a past-time just for kids has entered the mainstream, with games not available for everyone. Yes, the fact that those kids that grew up loving gaming are now adults who love gaming is a big part of it. Still, more than that, games have become a whole new genre of entertainment that combines visuals, storytelling, and interactivity for a whole new experience.

That’s why everyone should try it, and those who love it should absolutely invest in a winning gaming system. While it’s relatively easy to set up an enjoyable experience when playing with a console (a good couch and TV, which you likely already have, are all that’s needed), the true magic happens on a computer.

A home office with a gaming computer is a must for those who want the best experience in terms of performance and graphics. There are also many, many more games available on a computer than a console. If your own setup has been lacking, don’t worry, instead use this guide to help you upgrade it:

    Start with Hyper Fast Internet

Most people playing on a computer are doing so to play online. Yes, there are some offline games on PC that are more enjoyable to play on a computer than the console, but these are few and far between. For the most part, those playing on a computer are doing so while streaming. MMOs, multiplayer games, and the like all require constant internet connection, which is why your first step is to get the best fiber internet for gaming. You can get parallel speeds of up to 1gbps (meaning 1GB per second upload and download) for smooth, hiccup-free streaming.

    Upgrade Your Graphics Card

The power of having a PC rather than an enclosed case computer (like the Mac) is that you can easily upgrade your setup as you see fit. One of the ways you’ll want to upgrade your gaming setup is by investing in a better graphics card. This is particularly important if you’ve been trying to get by with the card your computer came with. Find a 4K product for the best quality, and be prepared to spend a pretty penny (and deal with a lot of competition).

    A Good Gaming Chair

Sitting at a desk all day isn’t doing your back any favors, even if sitting there is entirely your choice and brings you plenty of entertainment and enjoyment. You don’t need to leave and say goodbye to your gaming setup; you just need an ergonomic gaming chair. These chairs work to support your spine and neck to allow for longer gaming periods.

    Good Quality Headset

A monitor that showcases HD or Ultra HD is now pretty much standard. Where your setup won’t naturally be ready for a winning gaming experience is sound. Invest in high-quality, noise-canceling headphones to get the best immersive experience from your gaming adventures. Gaming versions even have a microphone so you can easily talk with your friends or other gamers.
