Apparently, Warner Bros. is looking to start a Tom and Jerry reboot with some big names in the mix. It’s being reported that Zoey Deutch has met with the studio and that Warner Bros. is looking to Olivia Cooker as well for some big roles – specifically the role of Kayla, who will team up with Tom in order to stop Jerry from ruining an important event for Kayle.
Along with the name mentioned, there’s been Yara Shahidi, Kelly Marie Tran, Becky G, and Isabella Moner. The Tom & Jerry movie will bring in Tim Story to direct a script from Bryan Schulz, Cornelis Uliano, and Kevin Costello. It’s reported by That Hashtag Show that production is expected to start in London this June, hoping to wrap up production around September. For those wondering, Tom and Jerry will not have speaking roles, much like they didn’t in the original and beloved cartoons.
Tom & Jerry are aiming to have a 2020 release date – are you looking forward to this movie or are you thinking maybe we should get a full cartoon film?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
