Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that the iconic action thriller Lethal Weapon will be available to own for the first time on 4K UHD Blu-Ray on June 24, 2025. The Digital and 4K UHD disc release includes both the 1987 theatrical version of the film and the 2000 Director’s Cut which features an additional 7 minutes of footage not seen in theaters. Directed by Richard Donner from a screenplay by Shane Black, the film stars Academy Award winner Mel Gibson as Detective Martin Riggs, Danny Glover as Detective Roger Murtaugh, and Gary Busey. Synopsis: Mel Gibson stars as a one-man killing machine, a Los Angeles policeman who recently lost his wife and has been acting increasingly unstable. Danny Glover plays a by-the-book homicide detective with an impeccable record and a loving family.
