Warner Drops New Images For The Star-Studded Romero Recreation ‘Night Of The Animated Dead’

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released a series of new images for the previously-announced, star-studded, animated recreation of George A. Romero’s 1968 horror classic Night Of The Animated Dead which just debuted on Digital, and will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 5, 2021. The film features the voices of Josh DuhamelDulé HillKatharine IsabelleJames Roday RodriguezKatee SackhoffWill SassoJimmi Simpson and Nancy Travis. Check out the new images below:

Barbara’s journey opens the film – in an ominously quiet graveyard with her brother Johnny – and the intensity ramps up from there in Night of the Animated Dead. Scream queen Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) takes on the iconic role of Barbara in the film.
Ben discovers quickly that zombies are not fond of fire in Night of the Animated Dead. Dulé Hill (The West Wing, Psych), whose new series The Wonder Years premieres on ABC on September 22, provides the voice of Ben.
Stranded in an abandoned home with no information other than zombies banging down the door, a group of strangers is finally semi-enlightened through a radio broadcast that details the zombie outbreak in Night of the Animated Dead. From left to right: James Roday Rodriguez (A Million Little Things, Psych) gives voice to Tom; Dulé Hill (The West Wing, Psych), whose new series The Wonder Years premieres on ABC on September 22, provides the voice of Ben; Josh Duhamel (Jupiter’s Legacy, Transformers) inhabits the misunderstood Harry; and Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing, The Kominsky Method) is the voice of Helen.
While they don’t see eye-to-eye on how to defend the house and keep themselves safe, they do get a much clearer idea of the dire level of their situation – looking out onto a see of zombies – in this moment from Night of the Animated Dead. Josh Duhamel (Jupiter’s Legacy, Transformers) and Dulé Hill (The West Wing, Psych, The Wonder Years) provide the voices of Harry and Ben, respectively.

Synopsis: In Night of the Animated Dead, siblings Barbara and Johnny visit their father’s grave in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania when they are suddenly set upon by zombies. Barbara flees and takes refuge in an abandoned farmhouse along with stranded motorist Ben and four local survivors found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices. 

Night of the Animated Dead features the voice talents of Josh Duhamel (Jupiter’s Legacy, Transformers) as Harry Cooper, Dulé Hill (The West WingPsych) as Ben, Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) as Barbara, James Roday Rodriguez (A Million Little Things, Psych) as Tom, Katee Sackhoff (The Mandalorian, Battlestar Galactica) as Judy, Will Sasso (MadTV) as Sheriff McClelland, Jimmi Simpson (Westworld) as Johnny and Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing) as Helen Cooper. 

Johnny and Barbara journey to a graveyard to pay their respects – and end up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse in the opening moments of Night of the Animated Dead. Jimmi Simpson (Westworld) gives voice to Johnny, and scream queen Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps) takes on the iconic role of Barbara in the film.
Attempting to escape from their boarded up house, Judy, Tom and Ben try getting their truck to an abandoned gas pump in a key scene from Night of the Animated Dead. Katee Sackhoff (The Mandalorian, Battlestar Galactica) gives voice to Judy, playing opposite the Psych tag team of James Roday Rodriguez and Dulé Hill as the voices of Tom and Ben, respectively.
Away from our trapped strangers, Sheriff McClelland is leading the efforts to battle the masses of zombies wandering the Pennsylvania countryside. In this image from Night of the Animated Dead, McClelland is doing a TV interview. Will Sasso (MadTV) provides the voice of McClelland.
