    What’s New On Max This February (2025)

    This February, Max is bringing a jam-packed lineup of content that includes exciting new seasons of HBO originals, gripping documentaries, heartwarming specials, and a variety of films. Here’s everything you need to know about the highlights coming to the streaming platform this month.

    HBO Original Series

    The White Lotus Season 3 (Debuts February 16)
    The hit social satire returns for its third season, set at an exclusive Thai resort. The series follows the interactions between guests and employees over the span of a week, diving into the complexities of social dynamics, power, and privilege. Expect new faces like Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, and Michelle Monaghan, among others. Episodes will debut weekly at 9 PM ET.

    Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Season 12 (Debuts February 16)
    John Oliver’s Emmy®-winning late-night show continues its insightful, satirical take on current events with a deep dive into political, social, and cultural issues. Oliver’s comedic perspective and unique reporting style make for another season of entertaining, yet thought-provoking, television. Expect weekly episodes that will air each Sunday.

    Documentaries

    The Takedown: American Aryans (Debuts February 6)
    This four-episode documentary series takes viewers deep inside the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. Told through the eyes of federal agent Richard Boehning, this series explores the world of white supremacy, organized crime, and the violent ideologies behind the group. It’s a chilling look at the dark underbelly of extremism in America. All episodes will be available on February 6.

    We Beat the Dream Team (Debuts February 18)
    This documentary delves into the story of a group of college basketball players who shocked the legendary 1992 U.S. “Dream Team” during a pre-Olympic scrimmage. The documentary tells how this unexpected upset helped propel the Dream Team to Olympic gold and explores the significance of the scrimmage.

    Eyes on the Prize III: We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest (Debuts February 25)
    The third installment of the acclaimed Eyes on the Prize series takes a modern look at the ongoing fight for racial justice. With six episodes, the anthology showcases powerful stories of individuals and communities pushing for equity in the years following the civil rights movement. All episodes will be available on February 25.

    Waitress: The Musical (Debuts February 14)
    Based on the hit Broadway musical, Waitress follows Jenna Hunterson, a waitress and expert pie maker, as she navigates a loveless marriage and dreams of escaping her small town. With music by Sara Bareilles, the film celebrates the power of friendship, dreams, and personal transformation. Starring Sara Bareilles, Charity Angel Dawson, and Drew Gehling, the film brings the beloved musical to life on screen.

    We Live in Time (Debuts February 7)
    This romantic drama, starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, spans a decade of the couple’s relationship, exploring the complexities of love, loss, and the passage of time. Their love story is tested by a truth that could unravel everything they’ve built together. Directed by John Crowley, this film is a heartfelt, emotionally driven journey through a couple’s evolving life.

    Elevation (Debuts February 21)
    In this post-apocalyptic thriller, the remaining human survivors live above 8,000 feet to escape deadly creatures that have decimated the population. When a father (Anthony Mackie) ventures into dangerous territory to save his son, he teams up with a scientist (Morena Baccarin) to stop the monsters. Elevation promises an action-packed adventure with high stakes.

    Puppy Bowl XXI (Debuts February 9)
    Who doesn’t love watching puppies in adorable competitions? Puppy Bowl XXI will showcase 142 rescue puppies from shelters across 40 states and two countries. This three-hour television event will feature heartwarming stories of these puppies’ journeys to adoption and highlight the amazing efforts of rescue organizations. It will air simultaneously on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and discovery+.

    Max also rolls out a special Valentine’s Day collection for the month, offering romantic films and heartwarming content perfect for celebrating the season of love.
