Thanks to Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld we might know who the villain will be for the X-Force film. At Comic Con, Rob spoke with Nerdist House about the upcoming film and was asked by Patrick Reed if Stryfe would be the villain. Rob replied:
“Well, do you really hire Josh Brolin if you don’t want him to play both roles?…We are perfectly assembled for an X-Force movie. And how do you not scratch that Stryfe itch, right?”
In the comics Stryfe is the evil clone of Cable, who was portrayed by Josh Brolin in Deadpool 2. Stryfe is a mutant with telepathic and telekinesis powers. If this were coming from anyone other than Rob you could maybe chalk this up as rumor but Rob would know best. It seems unlikely the X-Force film would get into production in time for it to be with FOX. Disney and FOX just approved the deal for Disney to acquire the studio. Drew Goddard is still tabbed to direct but no one really knows what will happen once Disney takes back the rights.
Would you want to see Stryfe as the main villain of the film or would you want to see someone else? Leave us a comment below and let us know your thoughts and give us a follow on Twitter @GeekVibesNation to continue the discussion.
