WME Has Severed Ties With Actor Armie Hammer

The freefall of Armie Hammer continues. After being dropped from the Jennifer Lopez film ‘Shotgun Wedding’ and the Paramount+ series ‘The Offer’ over the past couple weeks and seeing his own publicist sever ties with him, it has now been announced that the actor’s agency WME has ditched him as well.

As far back as last year during quarantine some screenshots began circulating the internet as supposed interactions that Armie Hammer had with fans while he was still married with his now ex-wife. While marriage infidelity is certainly not innocent, these messages were considered to be more embarrassing than anything and they quickly were forgotten. However, beginning roughly a month ago a new series of messages and allegations dropped against the actor, and these were of a far far more disturbing substance. These allegations accused the actor of submitting women to fantasies involving rape and aggressive BDSM and even cannibalism. The actor has categorically denied these allegations and, when addressing his exit from ‘Shotgun Wedding’ had this to say:

“I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this, and I’m grateful to them for that”

For what it’s worth, the messages are still unverified as of the recent reports and I believe it would be irresponsible to speak on this situation one way or another as it stands right now. The actor’s ex-wife recently stated that she will be listening to anyone who comes forward to her, but she did not comment further than that. I just hope that the truth is revealed and the abused parties find peace and resolution at the end of this.
