Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor and the goddess of love, Aphrodite, are pretty sure they’ve found Aphrodite’s missing son in this unremarkable suburban town—the fact that everyone here is compulsively driven to act on their secret desires is an awfully big clue! But if they actually want to talk to him, they’ll have to get through a flying army of…attack cherubs?! – DC Comics

Before I get started on this review, I just want to say that I am in love with Jenny Frison Wonder Woman variant art each piece she does just evokes different emotion depending on the issue. For me, I can honestly say that she is my favorite artist for Wonder Women. My question for everyone is who is your favorite artist?

This issue looks gorgeous, but for me, the story felt a little lackluster. We start off with Wonder Woman and Aphrodite meeting Atlantiades (Aphrodite daughter) and these two starts to argue because they had a falling out thousand years ago. This conversation Aphrodite and Atlantiades had I really enjoyed actually it showed how much Atlantiades wanted a mother to love her but not did and Aphrodite wanting forgiveness because she knows what she has down was terrible.

But that is where it drops off for me. We got Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman talking about the future of their relationship.  Atlantiades talking to Diana about why she resits desire. In the first part of the issue the people start off happy but by the end of the issue everything is going wrong and this is the start Diana and Atlantiades working together. Everything just felt rushed to me each of these scenes alone I did not have any problems with it I just it could have been expanded it on.

Like I mentioned before the art is fantastic, I truly felt like I was in paradise as soon as I started reading Wonder Woman #70. I would mostly like wait until this hit the bargain rack or until we get the full story, either way, this is something you can hold off on, but you should read it at some point or admire the artistry.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”21606,21607,21608,21609,21610,21611,21613,21614″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
