[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14023″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While we all love Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and couldn’t possibly imagine him as anyone else, we have to remember that once upon a time he was another hero on the big screen. In 2011, Reynolds was Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, a movie that has widely been regarded as all around terrible and Reynolds himself poked fun at this by “killing himself” during the mid-credit scene in Deadpool 2.
Regardless, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld feels that Reynolds should actually reprise his Green Lantern role:
“I swear to you, I would love to see Ryan return as Green Lantern,” the comic book writer Tweeted. “I think it would receive positive reactions. The end credits to Deadpool 2 notwithstanding. Could be massive, just sayin.”
This sounds like a preposterous idea to many, but considering Reynolds revived the Deadpool character from his own portrayal in Wolverine, maybe all these years later could signify a time to allow the actor to redo his part so to speak. Either way, Reynolds is made for Wade Wilson and is also starring as the voice of Pikachu in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie.
