April is bringing with it 4 new Games With Gold over for any Xbox players with an active gold subscription. Once again the games are spread out throughout April with two launching on April 1st and two launching on April 16th. Whilst two are on the Xbox One and two on the Xbox 360 all the games this month are available and playable on your Xbox One. There are some pretty cool titles this month so let’s break them down.
April 1st – The Technomancer
First up this month we have an action-RPG that puts you in the shoes of a battle-mage in The Technomancer. As you play through you can develop up to 4 different combat skill trees based on 3 separate fighting styles. Your actions matter and have lasting consequences so be careful what you do and what you say because it may come back to haunt you. The game also has some crafting mechanics behind it so as you play you can upgrade and craft new sweet loot to battle with. If you can survive long enough will you jump into The Technomancer and try to discover the lost secrets hidden on Mars?
April 1st – Star Wars Battlefront 2
Similar to last month April 1st for the 360 is yet another Star Wars title the legendary Star Wars Battlefront 2. No, not the crap one the good one from your childhood. Play through the campaign of a veteran clone trooper in the 501st Legion and watch the transition from the republic to the empire from his perspective. Take part in epic galactic battles across the Star Wars universe across prequel and original trilogy eras and in 16 different locations. Take down capital ships in space in intense dogfights or commence ground assaults on some iconic battlefronts from the movies. I can’t praise this game enough. It is easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made and has gone down in history as such. If for some insane reason you have never played this game before seriously pick it up this April. You won’t be disappointed.
April 16th – Outcast: Second Contact
Jumping back onto the Xbox One now on April 16th we have the complete remake of Outcast: Second Contact, one of the founding open-world action adventure titles. Explore a beautiful and yet dangerous alien world as Cutter Slade an elite soldier who must make the right decisions as the fate of not one but two universes is at stake. I’m ashamed to say I know very little about this title but it certainly looks interesting. Will you be giving it a try?
April 16th – Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
Our final title for this roundup is quite the mouthful; Tom Clancy Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2. This tactical shooter sees you fight for American soil in a war against a Mexican rebel cell over a timespan of 72 hours. You control your squad and battle through various locations and weather conditions and there’s even a day-night cycle. Fan’s of the Ghost Recon franchise know what to expect from this one and if you’ve never played through it, its definitely worth a download.
