Chris D’Elia has been accused of sexual harassment. Not unlike his character on the Netflix series ‘You’. D’Elia played a comedian who used drugs to incapacitate his underage victims before sexually assaulting him.
Many have come out to comment on D’Elia’s allegations. Penn Badgley (the star of ‘You’) has added his voice to the mix. Considering how strongly Badgley speaks out against his own character on the show, I can only imagine how upset he is. [Especially] having now found out that a co-worker for season two has allegedly been partaking in very abusive and predatory behavior.
Badgley expressed:
“The idea that a show like ours would indirectly, unwittingly be a haven for people who are abusive is disturbing. It’s very disturbing.”
Badgley continued:
“What is really important is to recognize … the practices, the regulations, the laws that underwrite every one of these systems that act as a haven for the individuals that take advantage, namely white men.”
