“When the nightmare dimension known as Gemworld invades Metropolis, these teen heroes reunite to deal with the situation—but they’re shocked to discover the battle may be the key to the return of Conner Kent, a.k.a. Superboy! This mix of fan favorites and new legacy heroes will be the center point for some of the biggest goings-on at DC! As if that weren’t enough, Bendis reunites with all-star artist Patrick Gleason (SUPERMAN, ACTION COMICS, GREEN LANTERN CORPS) to bring the new heroes of DC’s Wonder Comics to life!” – DC Comics
Great start! Having Brian Michael Bendis write the charters is amazing every time I read a piece of dialogue I could feel the innocence between each character, especially Impulse. Impulse is a very hyperactive character and just a joy when he is on the page! Each character has their own personalities which is very refreshing; especially since in some stories characters can get a bit bland and at times can feel like you are reading or watching the same characters.
Patrick Gleason as the artist was obviously the right choice! The kids actually look like kids, the colors on the page are vibrant, the action drawn shows how fun Young Justice is going to be. Having this Young Justice(Wonder Comics) and the Young Justice (Animated Show) brilliant move on Dc part. Now, I can have fun reading and watching both Young Justice, one that is series and one that is fun.
