Young Justice is back, baby! Bendis and Gleason reunite all your favorites in one place! Robin (Tim Drake—the best Robin) and Amethyst (best Princess of Gemworld!) team with Wonder Girl, Jinny Hex and the new Teen Lantern (not even close to the best Green Lantern) to take back the mysterious Gemworld from the evil forces of dark Opal. Meanwhile, the reunited Impulse and Superboy have a lot of explaining to do. Also in this issue, find out where Connor Kent has been all this time. This is a big issue for Superboy fans! – DC Comics

Brian Michael Bendis has yet to disappoint with his stories. In the first couple of pages, you can see the relationship between Conor Kent and Bart Allen, a true friendship that has lasted for a very long time. What I like most about Brian Michael Bendis is that he is a very consistent storyteller that gives great nuances especially with Conor Kent.

In this issue, you can see that before Conor Kent was transported to Gemworld he was a rebel, he did not want to follow the rules or let anyone control him, but there is a big plot point that I did not see coming and because of that reason he’s. become more compliant and understanding.

Everything Brian does just seems to flow so well no matter the number of characters is in his stories he takes his time to develop each of the characters so we the audience can feel invested.

Now the art by Viktor Bogdanovic and Patrick Gleason does not detract from the story. In my opinion, it actually evolves the story on a whole new level. From the coloring to the spacing nothing is wasted; everything is used in the perfect way visually to tell the story.

Overall this story is amazing and it is still the beginning!
