Among the many exciting announcements made during the DC FanDome live event, was the confirmation of the Shazam! Sequels title. So now that we know it is called Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the next question was when will it start production. Recently film star Zachary Levi shed some light on that during an interview on Dan Fogler’s 4D Xperience.
They announced that we were gonna do a sequel pretty much right after we premiered. They knew we were tracking well enough, they were happy enough with the numbers. So they have been steadily and earnestly working on the script for the sequel and I think Q1 of next year is the idea.
Of course, sooner is better than later. Why? Because the young co-stars of the film (unlike most things during the Covid Pandemic) have not paused their growing. So to maintain some consistency, the production staff would like to start as soon as possible.
