Zack Snyder, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher and More Speak Out in Support of #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”31897″ img_size=”1000×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Since 2017, fans have been insistent on a version of DC’s Justice League that didn’t suck. You have probably seen many Twitter users have the “Release the Snyder Cut” in their usernames or descriptions. For a long time, it just seemed like fans could not accept that the version they saw in theaters was the only version out there. You see, director Zack Snyder was originally behind the DC team-up movie. Due to a terrible family tragedy (and what seems like corporate B.S.) Snyder had to walk away. Who did Warner Bros. decide to bring in to finish the film? Joss Whedon. Two completely different styles did not mesh well.

#ReleasetheSnyderCut?

Apparently, though; Snyder had finished a version of the movie that did not get released in theaters. Hence, the Snyder cut. While it has simply seemed like a pipe dream for many for the past two years, the Snyder Cut has gained momentum. Aquaman star Jason Momoa has frequently expressed how he’s seen this version of the film and that it’s something fans need to see. Now, actors like Gal Gadot, Ray Fischer, and Ben Affleck himself have advocated on Twitter for this version. On top of this, Snyder himself has retweeted these please and Suicide Squad director David Ayer has also retweeted the request. It’s recently been revealed that Ayer, as well; had a version of his film that did not hit the big screen and now it seems like Warner Bros. just doesn’t like their directors to have the final say.

With the hashtag getting more traction than ever since 2017, is a Snyder Cut release eminent? We’ve seen from the Sonic redesign that the audience essentially gets what they want if their voices are loud enough. If a Snyder Cut is released, should we rally then for Ayers’ film to come out? And if the Snyder Cut fans can get what they want, can the #SaveDarevil fans get what they want (yes, I know it’s Marvel)?

I would imagine it’s frustrating for actors to not see what they filmed be released. Everything they worked so hard on, reduced to the disaster that was Justice League.

What do you think? Are we getting a Snyder Cut?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
