Now, we’ve learned that the actress will be headlining a television adaptation of the 2000’s High Fidelity, which will be available on the upcoming Disney streaming service. The original movie was released through Touchstone Pictures, which was owned by Disney. Now, the really interesting aspect of this news is that the film starred John Cusack and Lisa Bonet, who is Kravitz’s mother.

The television series will be a reimagining of the comedy-drama through the eyes of a woman and Kravitz will play a music-loving record store owner.

The series was created by Veronica West and Zoe Kravitz herself will be an executive producer, along with Sarah Kucserka. The remake will have ten episodes and will exclusively premiere on the streaming service, Disney Play, in late 2019.

How do you feel about a gender-swapped remake of the 2000 movie? Stay tuned for more![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
