13 Reasons Why Renewed For Fourth and Final Season

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27461″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Season three of 13 Reasons Why will premiere later this month (August 23rd), but Netflix has already announced that the series will be renewed for a fourth and final season. Season four is already in production and will reportedly center around the core cast of characters graduating high school.

13 Reasons Why has long been the subject of controversy considering the content and graphic suicide scene they showcased in the first season. While this scene has already been seen by plenty, Netflix went in this summer to remove that scene entirely. Too little too late, I would say? But, it’s probably Netflix’s campaign in “cleaning” up their young adult programs, as the streaming service also hit some backlash for all the smoking that was featured in Stranger Things season three.

Below is the synopsis for season three:

Eight months after preventing Tyler from committing an unthinkable act at Spring Fling, Clay, Tony, Jessica, Alex, Justin, and Zach find ways to shoulder the burden of the cover-up together while helping Tyler move toward recovery. But when the aftermath of a tumultuous Homecoming game culminates in the disappearance of a football player, and Clay finds himself under police scrutiny, it’s up to a shrewd outsider to steer the group through an investigation that threatens to lay bare everyone’s deepest secrets. The stakes are raised in this riveting third season of 13 Reasons Why, as the consequences of even the most well-intended actions can alter a life forever.

How do you feel about 13 Reasons Why ending after four seasons?
