“One by one they fall: A.R.G.U.S.! The D.E.O.! The Kobra Cult! And now, Spyral! Clark Kent and Lois Lane go undercover to find out who is behind all of the attacks on the top-secret and underground organizations of the DC Universe! Is it the rise of a new power in the DCU called Leviathan? Named one of the best comics of the year by Paste magazine!” – DC Comics

This is probably me, but I get The Man from U.N.C.L.E. vibes mixed with the look of Henry Cavill’s Superman in this issue of Action Comics #1010. You have Clark Kent being a spy with Lois, which is kind of weird to me. I understand Lois being a spy but not Clark it seems like it goes against the essence of the character of Clark. That being said, Brian Michael Bendis does it in a way that makes sense. Clark can only stay a spy but for so long because of his truthful and protective nature.

Not much really happened in this issue of Action Comics #1010 other than the start of the issue. Where bones talks to Kate Spencer or someone impersonating Kate Spencer to get rid of loose ends. The dialogue between the two was honestly the most interesting and suspenseful piece of writing in this whole issue. After that nothing really happens to note.

Overall this was a weak issue mixed with a great start and fantastic art. I would not recommend this as a single issue unless it is in the bargain rack or as a Trade.
