Adam Driver May Co-Star With Matt Damon in The Last Duel, a Part Originally Thought to Go to Ben Affleck

While Ben Affleck was originally meant to co-star with Matt Damon in Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, it seems Affleck may be bumped to supporting role. Who then would take his place? Well, Variety is reporting that Adam Driver is in early talks for the part.

The Last Duel would be set in 14th century France. It’s a tale of betrayal and justice. The film would be told from three different points – which would be Damon and Driver, as knights; whose bond is tested by treachery. The other would be Jodie Comer as a young woman who is forced to survive through a brutal and oppressive culture.

It should not that Disney and Fox have not given this movie the greenlight yet, but if it does, then early production should start in early 2020.

What do you think about Affleck being in a supporting role and Driver in a co-star capacity next to Damon?
