[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”33496″ img_size=”973×543″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]An adaptation of Stephen King’s Jerusalem’s Lot has been given a 10-episode straight-to-series order for Epix. Leading the series will be Oscar winner Adrien Brody. Writers Peter and Jason Filardi will join producer Donald De Line for this show, which is expected to begin production in May of 2020. They are looking for a fall of 2020 premiere.

This project will reunite Filardi, King, and Epix President Michael Wright. Wright shepherded Salem’s Lot in 1975, which was the highest-profile project of Wrights’. Jerusalem’s Lot will be set in the 1850s and follow Captain Charles Boone (Brody) as he relocates his three children to his ancestral home in Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies [at sea]. The small town is presumably quiet, but soon Charles will have to confront the secrets of his family’s “sordid” history, as well as fight to end the evil that has had a grip on his family for years.

Wright expressed:

“This series is an intense, absolutely terrifying reimagining of classic gothic horror. We can’t wait to work with the exceptional team of Donald De Line and Jason and Peter Filardi, along with our phenomenal lead actor, Adrien Brody…and of course, when it comes to horror, it doesn’t get any better or more masterful than Stephen King.”
