[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14209″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Agents of SHIELD gave us Agent Coulson after the character taken out by Loki in the first Avengers, but it may seem like Coulson is dead for good after he was killed in season five. Actress Chloe Bennet, who plays Daisy Johnson; commented on Coulson’s death:
“In my mind, she has a bit more of a peace to her. There is obviously the mourning of Coulson, but she’s also been through it all and she is genuinely stronger from it. She is not dealing with things as she has in the past. She has fully accepted her trauma and is moving forward in the most healthy way, for the first time.”
Actor Clark Gregg will continue with the show behind the camera, but it seems that his death was a result of the showrunners being unaware if they would get a sixth season. Maurisa Tancharoen commented:
“We’ll never end something without the potential for more story,” Tancharoen previously said. “That’s how we’ve ended every season because, whenever we’ve come to the end of all the seasons past, we go into that mostly not knowing until the very last minute, so we’re basically doing the same thing to close out Season 5. It can fit well as a possible series finale, and it can fit well as just another season’s end.”
Joss Whedon, who had been behind the first two Avengers movies, added:
“You always want to leave the idea that there’s more stories, it’s a question of whether or not we will tell them. We have our end, and we’ll stick to it regardless, and we think it’ll work either way.”

I watched and loved Agents of SHIELD because it was a lighthearted, fun show without superpwowered main characters, focusing on a team of regular Agents of SHIELD, protecting earth and humankind against superpowered criminals and alien threats.
It’s my least favorite tv-show since Inhumans took over and became what the show is about. Coulson was the reason why I watched when Agents of SHIELD became the dark, not family-friendly, no fun Inhumans-show and the Agents only reason to exist was to protect powered people who destroyed their neighbourhood (e.g. Joey) and killed humans (e.g. Lincoln, Robbie Reyes) against justice. Coulsons death is the reason why I finally dropped the show.
