June 24th brings the release of a new and different genre in the comic book world. For the first time, the Senior Citizens are getting in to the fray, and they’re taking no prisoners. Even it requires a trusty skillet to keep the monsters at bay. Just because Lottie Thorn is 80 years old, it does mean she’s defenseless. Far from it.
From the creative minds of Editor Sarah Litt, Writer Mariah McCourt. Artist Soo Lee, and Cover Artist Jill Thompson comes Ash and Thorn. It tells the tale of what happens when the Earth’s best defense was recently spending her time painting and baking. At least until another elderly lady named Peruvia shows up on her doorstep, claiming that she was there to make her a Champion. Now if only she could remember her spells to assist her. No matter, the monsters are coming and Lottie needs to be ready.
We have posted a review of this upcoming book from Ahoy Comics previously, which you can find here, But now, the good folks at Ahoy have shared some preview pages for fans to see what’s coming June 24th.
This begins the adventure as Lottie and Peruvia prepare for the battle to come. Well at least Lottie prepares as Peruvia has never actually been in battle.
