[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11817″ img_size=”650×366″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Chris Evans starred in the 2013 movie Snowpiercer, which delivered a strange, yet poignant piece of cinematography. The concept? Seventeen years after the world was sent into a massive Ice Age, the survivors has lived on a never-ending train around the world. If the train ever stops or they ever step foot outside, the passengers will freeze. What makes this movie even stranger is that there are those living at the front of the train, enjoying a life of luxury, while those in the back live in filth, with zero medicine, forced at one point to resort to cannibalism. What transpires is a movie about classism and other amazing messages. If you haven’t seen this film, it’s worth it.
TNT is now developing a television series, which will take place seven years after the Ice Age event. Aleks Paunovic, who we spoke several months ago with; will be starring in the series, and in an interview with Comicbook.com, the actor spoke about the upcoming show:
“It’s been great. It’s a massive ensemble. It’s an amazing cast. You know, Jennifer Connelly? Come on. And she’s been nothing but a pleasure to work with. An extremely smart actor. And all the creatives behind it, everybody behind the scenes and the actors, again, huge ensemble. So I’m just feeling very grateful that I get to be put in a spot to watch these people act. And having it on a TV series from a film that I thought was fantastic and them asking me to come aboard, no pun intended, to do the show, it’s been a blessing.”
Paunovic also spoke about his character and what we should expect:
“My character is a breach worker who does the most dangerous job on the train, because I get to fix stuff outside. So that kind of aspect really felt good,” Paunovic recalled. “And he’s kind of a fun-loving guy but with a very checkered history, and hopefully we’ll get to see that during the show. But so far, right now, it’s been a blast to work with these guys.”
As a fan of the movie Snowpiercer and Paunovic, I can say I’m definitely excited! Snowpiercer will premiere in TNT and will also star Jenifer Connelly, The Walking Dead and Westworld’s Simon Ogg, and more![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
