Everyone loves a good mystery. Especially when it comes tied to one of our most iconic characters. In this case, in an earlier Marvel post, they released nothing but a #4 in a silk webbing. The significance of which immediately became the subject of numerous conjectures and theories. Was it a hint of a possible 4th installment of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series? Perhaps in comic form?
The mystery only became more scrutinized when famed comic painter Alex Ross entered the fray. He posted a painting of what appears to be Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man swinging with Mary Jane ala Kirsten Dunst. He accompanied this with the hashtag Spider-Man4.
Now if that wasn’t enough, he apparently has deleted that post and replaced it with this one.
