[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6454″ img_size=”800×400″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If you’ve watched the second season of Iron Fist, you know that Alice Eve made her debut as well-known Marvel character Typhoid Mary. Referred to as “Mary” and “Walker” in the show, this skilled character suffers from dissociative identity disorder or formerly known as “multiple personality disorder”. Switching back and forth throughout the season, it was the Walker persona that initially hindered but then assisted Danny and co. While I have my questions about Walker’s purpose in Iron Fist, I praise Eve’s performance and do wish we could get her on shows where her character makes sense like The Punisher and Daredevil.
If you’re a fan of Marvel Comics, you know that the Mary Walker we saw on screen differs greatly in appearance from the one we see in the comics. Eve herself expressed the want to dress more true to Typhoid Mary:
“If your motivation is to seduce men and kill them, that is definitely a practical outfit….So I would like to take it definitely in that direction if she has a future, which I hope she does, and I loved playing her. I’d love to explore different sides of her and definitely explore her powers of seduction and how she uses them and manipulates situations to her advantage.”
I wouldn’t mind seeing this personally. Every woman has the right to dress in the way that makes them feel empowered and if Eve wants to dress in chains, fishnets, and whatnot to feel more like Typhoid Mary, let her! Full spoilers, but the second season left off with Walker acknowledging that there is a third personality not yet explored. While Walker is the tactical military persona and Mary is sweet and innocent, this third personality could be the seductress who uses her allure and sexuality to get what she wants.
