Amazon’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ Characters Revealed

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”32305″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The information concerning Amazon’s new Lord of the Rings series has been slow to matriculate. Other than it is set before the events of Fellowship of the Ring and it will be an expensive series to produce. That has now changed a little. The Observer has recently reported some descriptions for the characters in the highly anticipated show.

Beldor

Will Poulter is said to be playing Beldor. He is an optimistic, intelligent and political savvy protagonist. Beldor is nonetheless more reserved than his on-screen counterparts. The character will often be the straight-man in pairings with more out-sized personalities. Despite his youth, he will possess a gravitas that belies a character who could be far older.

Tyra

Markella Kavenagh will be playing Tyra.  She is a wide-eye characterful young teenage woman with a strength and maturity beyond her years. Tyra will provide a mix of dramatic and comedic elements.

Oren

Joseph Mawle will be playing Oren. He will be a villain who can also evoke a deep sense of pathos built around a wounded and fallen nobility. Although the character is middle-aged, Oren will possess a certain degree of physicality which will project a sense of timelessness.

Along with these characters, The Observer has been told that the main character for the show has not been cast as of yet. This would be Eldien. She is described as:

Eldien

Eldien is a complex, unique and formidable young woman in her mid-20s who possesses an eternal quality and a strong physical component.

These are just a few of the many characters to be found in this latest adaptation of Tolkien’s iconic tale. Are you excited about the upcoming Lord of the Rings series? Are there stories you would like to see in its format? Share your hopes with us at Geek Vibes Nation.
