Valentine has many esteemed credits in her casting director history such as BBC’s Broadchurch and the period piece series The Last Kingdom and Harlots. For those worried she doesn’t do her homework, fear not. She posted a photo on her Instagram account over a month ago of her reading the first book in the Wheel of Time series.
While news has slowly trickled in about the upcoming series, this is the newest sign towards fans that the show is really happening. Prosthetic and makeup teams have been brought in and showrunner Rafe Judkins has been giving fans almost weekly teases about pre-production currently taking place in Prague. Seeing a few casting announcements at JordanCon in a couple of weeks might not be a crazy assumption at this point.
Amazon’s Wheel of Time series has no release date but is rumored to begin filming in Prague beginning September of 2019.
