    And The BAFTA Award Goes To…: ‘Conclave’ And ‘The Brutalist’ Biggest Winners Of The Night

    Last night, the crème-de-la-crème of the film industry gathered at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall for the 78th BAFTA Film Awards for a night of celebration and recognition. The evening’s biggest winners were Edward Berger’s Conclave and Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, each securing four notable wins. Conclave was honoured with accolades for ‘Best Film,’ ‘Outstanding British Film,’ ‘Adapted Screenplay,’ and ‘Best Editing.’ Meanwhile, The Brutalist triumphed in the categories of ‘Director,’ ‘Leading Actor,’ ‘Original Score,’ and ‘Cinematography.’

    Other major contenders included Anora, Wicked, Dune: Part Two and Emilia Pérez, all of which earned two awards each. Additionally, The Substance, directed by Coralie Fargeat, received accolades for ‘Make-up and Hair.’ Kneecap was recognized with the award for ‘Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer;.

    British actor Warwick Davis was honoured with the BAFTA Fellowship for his remarkable contributions to the industry. The EE BAFTA Rising Star Award, determined by public vote, went to the talented David Jonsson, while the BAFTA for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema was awarded to MediCinema, a hospital charity celebrated for its exceptional efforts in bringing the joy of cinema to patients.
