According to a new report, Andrew Garfield is the preferred Spider-Man; ranking higher than both Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire’s version of the character. While Maguire’s Spider-Man is revered (as is the Sam Raimi trilogy), a report says that Twitter uses favor Garfield over the other versions of the character.
Andrew Garfield took over for the web-slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man. This was after Raimi left the franchise and Sony decided to reboot their Spider-Man story. After not doing well in the box office and having less-than-perfect reviews, Sony decided to team up with Disney to bring in a new Spider-Man. This brings us to Tom Holland, who plays the current version of the beloved Marvel character.
However, a recent report – brought to us by SlotsOnlineCanada – states that Twitter favors Garfield over Holland and Maguire. While Garfield’s movies may not have done as well as his spidey counterparts, his pragmatic take on the character left a huge impact on viewers. An impact that has fans wanting to see him return again. There’s been plenty of rumors that have said that Holland will be joined by the other two actors who’ve played Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Whether or not Garfield shows back up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, we will have to wait to see. How high does Garfield rank on your Spider-Man list?
