Yep! That’s right, your favorite Muppets are coming to the big screen again. Variety reports that although the actress was offered the part, she is also mulling over an offer for Robert Zemeckis’ The Witches, so we aren’t sure if she will take the offer or not.
Jonathan Krisel, who directed and co-created Portlandia; will helm the picture, which will be a musical. Considering Hathaway’s profound performance in Les Miserables, this would not be her first musical.
Sesame Street premiered for years on PBS, before moving to HBO in 2018. Most of the characters still appearing on the show to this day were Jim Henson’s creations and the gentleman who portrayed Big Bird just retired after decades in the role.
