Ant-Man’s Michael Douglas Says There’s Talks About an Ant-Man 3

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15222″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Ant-Man was a fun installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that solidified Scott Lang as a fan favorite and Ant-Man and The Wasp was just as much of an enjoyable adventure that was a much-needed reprieve from Avengers: Infinity War. With Paul Rudd reprising his role in Endgame, we have to wonder when will we see our pint-sized hero again after the fourth Avengers movie?

Michael Douglas, who portrays Hank Pym in the Ant-Man franchise, revealed that there has been talk about a third installment to the Ant-Man series:

“There’s been talk [about another Ant-Man]… [but] there’s been nothing formal right now that I know of,” he said during a Television Critics Association set visit to his Netflix show, The Kominsky Method. “They always kind of spring it on me. The first time you hear about it, it’s already in its third rewrite.”

Hopefully, this means we’ll see the return of Dr. Pym, considering his fate was that of many due to Thanos wiping out half the universe. Peyton Reed, who directed both Ant-Man movies, had also commented about a third movie last summer at some point:

“Just the same as last time. We didn’t have any idea there would be a second Ant-Man until maybe a month or so after the first one came out,” he explained. “This was a giant question mar. With the first one, there was obviously behind the scenes drama that preceded me, but also, it’s Ant-Man. There was a question of, are people going to see this movie? It was not a fait accompli. It could have gone either way. I think we are all interested in doing one. There is a story to tell there. Definitely. There is a story we’ve talked about potentially. I’m very, very hopeful,” Reed explained.

Would you like to see an Ant-Man 3? For now, we can be happy Scott Lang survived the snap and is reunited with Captain America and the remaining Avengers in Endgame, on April 26th.
