You can now head over to the “Battle Pass” tab when you enter the lobby of Apex Legends and it costs a total of 950 Apex Coins. There are over 100 brand new cosmetics to collect and everything you earn before the season ends will be yours to keep forever. If you don’t mind splashing the cash you can pick up the Battle Pass Bundle for a grand total of 2,800 Apex Coins which gets you the battle pass and automatically unlocks your first 25 levels. Or, if you don’t want to hand over your hard earned cash there’s a couple of free rewards in the form of some Apex packs, some season 1 stat trackers and a legend skin.

Octane

Octane looks like he just jumped out of the Mad Max universe and sounds like he just jumped out of Borderlands but how does he play in game?

His abilities include:

  • Passive – Swift Mode – Whilst not taking damage restore one health every two seconds. Handy if you’re running low on medkits.
  • Tactical – Stim – Move 30% faster for 6 seconds but this costs health to use. While active, Octane is affected less by attacks that cause slowdown and this ability has a 2-second recharge time.
  • Ultimate – Launch Pad – Deployable jump pad that catapults players through the air. This takes 90 seconds to recharge.

He cost’s the same as his locked counterparts Mirage and Caustic at 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins. He’s one to get himself and his teammates in the action quickly and from what I’ve experienced suits an aggressive play-style. Will you be trying him out?

Aside from that the update also added some general bug fixes such as hitbox and audio changes as well as some general quality of life improvements and some weapon tweaks. So what are your thoughts on the Battle Pass? Will you be picking it up and grinding through the ranks or are you just happy to pick up the free rewards?
