Kathryn Hahn joins Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd for a limited series called The Shrink Next Door. The Shrink Next Door will be based on the popular podcast by Wondery and Bloomberg Media. Michael Showalter will direct the show from a script written by Georgia Pritchett.
The Shrink Next Door is inspired by true events and details a strange relationship between a psychiatrist to the stars, Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd); and his longtime patient – Martin ‘Marty’ Markowitz (Ferrell). Their relationship consists of Ike inserting himself into Marty’s life – which includes moving into his Hamptons’ home. And even persuading Marty to name him the president of the family business. This series revolves around manipulation, greed, and dysfunction.
