While Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist along with The Defenders were the original deal between Disney and Netflix, there’s a chance we could be getting more spin-off shows. Netflix’s Vice President Cindy Holland spoke at the TCA Summer Tour, expressing the openness for other Marvel shows. We can all attribute this essentially to Jon Bernthal’s performance as Frank Castle in Daredevil season two, launching the need for a separate Punisher series.
Holland confirmed, “there’s always an ongoing discussion as to whether we will spin off additional characters.” While it’s highly unlikely that we’ll be getting a Ghost Rider show due to legal reasons, we do have the chance to gain spin-off shows from characters we already know in the original shows. You know what that means? Protentional Daughters of the Dragon series!
Colleen Wing and Misty Knight made a great duo in Luke Cage season 2 where we not only saw Colleen attempting to help Misty get through her troubles with life now one arm short, but also the two kicking absolute ass in a bar full of rowdy men. Now that Misty is in the second season of Iron Fist, we can all assume we’ll be seeing more of these strong women battling enemies together. Could we potentially get a spin-off?
