Video Quality
Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment brings Assassin Club to Blu-Ray with a strong 1080p video presentation. The image is clean and clear with a vivid color palette jumping off the screen. The film makes an impression with numerous splashes of color within the clothing and production design which makes for a striking image. Black levels are deep, but digital noise does pop up briefly at certain moments in the film. Highlights are never an issue as they avoid any blooming. Flesh tones are natural with subtle nuances showcased well in close-ups and medium shots. The presentation provides a welcome amount of depth on display in the various environments. Paramount has provided this film with a great presentation which is every bit as great as a modern movie should look in HD.
Audio Quality
The Blu-Ray comes with a mighty DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that brings the action right into your living room. The sounds of the confrontations provide a substantial amount of activity in the rear channels, and the low end is every bit as forceful as you want from an action film. Everything is mixed with precision which allows all sounds to be accurately rendered across all channels from the expected direction. Dialogue comes through crisp and clear without ever falling victim to competing environmental factors. The score does a nice job of establishing the tone of the narrative as the track fills the room in a truly enveloping way. This track more than gets the job done. There are optional English SDH subtitles provided.

Final Thoughts
Assassin Club never really does anything to elevate itself above being serviceable. All of the covert surveillance and double crosses are ingrained into your film knowledge on an indelible level, and the execution in this outing never produces anything that feels fresh. The performances elevate the material to a more watchable level, but it is not an effort that you will remember even a few days after consuming it. This is a feature for those who are truly hungry for any half-decent action thriller. Paramount Picture Home Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray that sports fantastic A/V presentation but nothing in the way of special features.
Assassin Club can be purchased on Blu-Ray directly through MovieZyng or various other online retailers.

Dillon is most comfortable sitting around in a theatre all day watching both big budget and independent movies.
