Experience the next chapter in Legacy of the First Blade with the all-new ‘Shadow heritage’. You will discover and must protect a group of stranded civilians who are being threatened by a fierce new foe. The Tempest. You must steal The Tempests secret weapon and destroy the blockade they have set up around the city of Achaia to help the citizens escape. In order to play episode 2: Shadow Heritage you must obviously complete episode 1 as well as chapter 7 of the main story and be at least level 28.

The Cyclops: Arges

If your blood lust for ancient mythical beats is at a boiling point then do not fear because an all-new challenge in the form of the cyclops – Arges has arrived. He can be found on a Volcanic Island in the Angry Caldera of Arges which you can fast travel to with the additional markers added to the map in the games latest 1.1.1 Title Update. This is advertised as an endgame activity so you should be at least 50 before taking him on and even then be prepared for a decent fight on your hands.

A returning Friend

Ubisoft Club members will be getting their own special treat this month in the form of returning character Aya from AC Origins as a new Legacy Lieutenant for your ship. If your a member of the club or a fan of 2017’s Origins then keep your eye out for this infamous Egyptian Assassin who dates all the way back to Assassin’s Creed 2.

More and More Mercenaries…

Getting tired of battling mercenaries over and over again? No, I thought not, and now there are 2 new tiers of them for you to conquer in your quest to be the best. These higher and far harder tiers offer even greater rewards for anyone strong enough to take them on, but are you up to the task?

Enemy Scaling

One of the most request features is finally getting added to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with the ability to change the enemy scaling preferences in your settings. If you feel like the game is getting a little too heated or your longing for a more of a challenge then now you can get the setting that just right for you. There will be 4 different settings for enemy scaling which are listed below.

  • Heavy – All enemies remain at your level.
  • Normal – No change in the difficulty settings.
  • Light – Content is around two levels below your level.
  • Very Light – Content is around four levels below your level.

It should be stated this won’t be available in the Nightmare mode of the game in order to maintain the mode’s difficulty.

That about wraps it up for Assassins Creed’s Odyssey’s January update. There’s plenty to keep the Assassins of ancient Greece occupied for the time being and of course, there’s plenty to come in the future with future DLC episodes and the must anticipate the release of the remastered Assassins Creed 3 and Liberation.
