Senior Writer at GeekVibesNation - I am a 60 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove headfirst over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 21-year-old young man with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.

    By MartinAugust 9, 20180

When Sony Pictures signed their deal with Marvel to gain the rights to Spider-Man, it included an added bonus. A new report brings the news that their deal with Marvel gives them access to roughly 900 Marvel characters in their library. Yes, that was 900. With their upcoming Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse movies, Columbia Pictures wants fans to know: “We’re focused on being faithful to the comics,” Columbia Pictures president Sanford Panitch said. The studio is calling their Spider-Man-centric films Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters (or, the SUMC). While an unofficial name used internally at the studio, it is…

    By MartinAugust 9, 20180

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If was good for Ray Fisher, it is good enough for Joivan Wade. Wade, who recently had a role in The First Purge, has agreed to play the role of Cyborg for the small screen in DC Universe’s Doom Patrol. As most fans know the character was previously played on the big screen in Justice League by the aforementioned Ray Price. As most DC fans know, Cyborg whose real name is Vic Stone, is a half-human, half-machine superhero with a fondness for computers and he has been connected with various super-teams across the DC universe including the Teen Titans. Power Rangers Sequel Now In Planning Stage

    By MartinAugust 8, 20180

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2087″ img_size=”1024×726″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]When 2017’s Power Rangers was released, Paramount and Hasbro had visions of multiple movie releases and a toy license that would help push it. That was the hope when The Power Rangers made a return to the big screen with the release of Paramount’s live-action reboot. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t prove to be as financially successful as they had projected as it grossed just $142 million worldwide. With original plans to make up to seven sequels, it was looking doubtful they would do even one without another reboot. After that disappointing box office performance, Power Rangers did create a strong following on home release…

    By MartinAugust 8, 20180

Because we still have quite a bit of time before all of our questions are answered on Game of Thrones, we here at GVNation decided to muddy the waters by adding even MORE questions to the mix. Why? Because we can. Now please understand, the actual created history of these events are so complex, it would take awhile to discuss it all. We will be using the Reader’s Digest versions of some events. What’s Reader’s Digest? Ask your parents…or your Grandparents. So with no further ado, we bring you the first in a series of Game of Thrones: “What If’s?”…

Answer and Explanation to Spidey Comic Book Quiz

    By MartinAugust 7, 20180

So I allowed you some time to consider what is wrong with The Amazing Spider-Man #96. To know the answer you would have to be familiar with how comic books were regulated at the time. Let us take a trip in Doctor Emmett Brown’s time traveling Dolorean to November 5, 1955. Wait, that was when Doc Brown invented the flux capacitor. Let’s try again. Make that September 1954. At that time, The Comics Magazine Association of America (CMAA) was formed in response to a widespread public concern over gory and horrific comic-book content. The main reason for this decision…

‘Game of Thrones’ Actor Rory McCann Opens Up About His Most Emotional Scene

    By MartinAugust 7, 20180

With the seventh and last season of Game of Thrones coming next year, many of the actors who have been there through it all have begun to take stock of their experience and their remembrances. Rory McCann has played cynical and outspoken Sandor Clegane, aka the Hound, for six seasons. While speaking at the Tampa Bay Comic Con earlier last week, McCann spoke about what he thought was the Hound’s most emotionally demanding scene: “I would say when the Hound went on the road trip with Arya and he started opening up about what happened to him with his burned face. That…

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1848″ img_size=”1000×675″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_column_text]When it was reported that Batwoman would make her debut in this year’s Arrowverse crossover event, fan’s wondered if the possible Batwoman series was still a go. A Spider-Man Mystery Quiz: What is missing?

    By MartinAugust 6, 20180

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A question for those of us who remember such things. What is missing from this comic book cover? This is a bit of trivia that I asked before on Twitter a number of years ago. Since I now have the privilege of writing for GVNation, I am going to put the trivia question out there again to our readers. This comic cover is missing something that when it was printed had not happened before (at least not on mainstream comic book shelves). The fact that it was printed at all was a testament to the head man at Marvel in…
