Avengers 4 Reshoots Are to “Finish the Film” According To Mark Ruffalo

Reshoots are normal. Most films have them. When Marvel was given the green-light for Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, reshoots were needed to go back in and insert Peter Parker’s scene within the film. It seems now that the cast and crew of Avengers 4 are going back in for reshoots, which according to Mark Ruffalo, is to finish the rest of the movie.

“Well we’re doing reshoots starting in September,” Ruffalo said in an interview recently, “And then we’ll go back into the international tour, we’ll go on tour. Then you guys will get the second installment. Which we don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots, we’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.”

This is interesting, because I’m wondering why they didn’t film a finishing scene prior? Were they not happy with the ending? Did they need to put it off for some reason? This is really just all speculation, but it’s fun to surmise what will be the ending of Avengers. We’re happy to hear Ruffalo will be a part of finishing the movie, as he’s held onto the role of Bruce Banner since the first Avengers, replacing prior Hulk actor Edward Norton. As far as what to expect for him after the fourth Avengers, Ruffalo stated:

“Yeah, I don’t know. I have no idea.”

Avengers 4 is set to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2019.
