Avengers: Endgame Co-Writer Talks About Red Hulk Almost Being in Movie

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27594″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Avengers: Endgame had so many Easter Eggs and goodies for fans. One was Mark Ruffalo making his premiere as Smart Hulk. According to co-writer Christopher Markus, Red Hulk was briefly considered. When asked about the red tint the Hulk had when he performed his version of the snap in the third act of the movie, Markus responded:

“I entertained the idea for about a day.”

He continued:

“Red Hulk is a completely different thing in the comics. It wound up being, well, really we’re just saying he changes color. That’s not a character change. If there’s a future for William Hurt as a superhero, he can turn into Red Hulk.”

While Ruffalo has previously expressed he’d like to explore more with the Hulk, actor Hurt who played General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross did say he was open to the idea of exploring Red Hulk:

“I don’t know. I wouldn’t mind feeling like I had that much power. But I created Thaddeus’ ego with the same size as the monster’s. With the same degree of messed op-ness. I’d take a shot at it.”

Would you like to see Red Hulk in the MCU?
