When it comes to iconic superheroes, probably no one is better suited to be adapted into a horror genre film than the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Apparently, the creative team of Director James Campbell and Producer Geoff Woodman feel the same way. When they’re not working on other films, they enjoy making films that embrace their love of fandom and what fans might enjoy. A film by fans for fans.

Their first was 1986, a film “heavily influenced by John Carpenter and the early works of Michael Mann and James Cameron… as well as an obvious love of Frank Miller’s THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS.” It starred Lee Charles as the Frank Miller inspired Batman, Laurence R. Harvey as Penguin, and Mark Griffin as the Punisher. You can check out their first film below:

But now, Campbell and Woodman are once again bringing Batman back in 1987: Blood of the Bat. This time Batman is taking on some vampires. 1987 brings back many of the original cast but also includes former WWE Superstar/actor Paul London, who will be coming on board to play NIGHTWING! You can see their proof-of-concept video below. Also be sure to check out their IndieGogo campaign here to learn more.
