“Batwoman” REVIEW – Ruby Rose Saves a Murky Pilot

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”30381″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]”Batwoman” has been a highly anticipated TV show for a bit longer than a year and even more driven after Ruby Rose first put on the cape and cowl in last years arrowverse crossover “Elseworlds”. Another reason why this is highly anticipated is Batwoman is the first superhero TV whose main character is openly gay.

I myself was even excited to see this pilot and truthfully I was a bit disappointed. Now, I do not want to judge the series soff the pilot alone. I am going to watch the whole season and give it a chance.

NOW LETS DIVE INTO IT! I enjoyed Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, despite not being her biggest fan. Ruby fits the rebel role well though. The script was a bit messy. Kate Kane saving her past lover who turns out to still be in hiding about her sexuality, which I felt like they should have embraced more then keep it a secret by having her marry a man. I did not buy their relationship (Hopefully my opinion changes through out the season).

Kate finds out Bruce was Batman and Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson) knew the whole time. Fox just lets her become Batman without hesitation. They try to give this back story about how Batman tried to save Kate’s mother and sister in a car accident. He only saves Kate when his wires give out and the car falls off the bridge. Since then he has been haunted trying to figure out how he did not save them.

There are many more problems I can get into, but want everyone to give their own opinions by watching it.

I give the pilot a 5/10[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
