There is something about lovable robots in the Star Wars franchise that keeps us fans happy. While R2D2 has always been a fan favorite, nothing could compare to the absolute adorableness of BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This little ball of orange and white made everyone’s hearts scream with joy, especially when she and R2D2 did their little dance of happiness at the end of the movie. It was very cute, okay?
According to BB-8’s handler, Brian Herring; filming for Star Wars: Episode IX will start soon, featuring everyone’s adorable little rolling ball. J.J. Abrams will return for the next installment of the Star Wars saga, doing a fine job in keeping fans happy.
1st shooting day for the little guy! So excited to be ‘rolling’ once again with @jjabrams and all the gang far, far away! Here’s to a fantastic shoot. #StarWars #IX #BB8 #puppeteer pic.twitter.com/Uoy4rb6XKA

Along with BB-8, Episode IX will also see the return of Billy Dee Williams, who is reprising his role as Lando Calrissian. While Donald Glover took up the well-known character’s mantle in Solo: A Star Wars story, it is good to see the original Lando come back and I’m very interested to see what his storyline will be!
Star Wards: Episode IX will hit theaters December 20, 2019!
