[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Monday, August 5th, 2019 I had the opportunity to not only go to a movie premiere but to do red carpet interviews as well. Not only was it my first time interviewing celebrities but it was humid as hell. The event was held at the Regal Green Hills theater in Nashville, Tennessee which just happens to be where I live. Sometimes things just work out. In contrast, you should’ve seen what I went through leading up the event, but that’s a story for another time.
The rundown
On this day, a friend of mine did me a favor and acted as my videographer. In fact, if not for her, I wouldn’t have had any video. Next, after we checked in we were led to a middle spot at the edge of the red carpet. As we stood shoulder to shoulder with other press it got increasingly hot and I got increasingly nervous. I had done a little research on the cast but I’m usually pretty good at winging it. Furthermore, the event was running behind so I started to forget my questions and I ended up freestyling my question anyway. I Interviewed Scott Kennedy, Trace Adkins, Michael Roark, Allison Paige, and Hunter Clowdus, all great people. As the interviews went on they got longer and I found my rhythm. Feeding off each other’s energy, I think the interviews went pretty well. Also, apparently I looked quite dapper seeing as a few of them gave me compliments on my outfit. Toot! Toot! (honking my own horn). Eventually, I talked to a few of them while we got popcorn before the premiere started and they were as authentic as they were in the interviews. Just great people with amazing jobs. I was very humbled and grateful for the experience.
Lastly, hey, DC and Warner Brothers, Allison Paige told me she is ready to return to the superhero world. Make some room.
I will have a full movie review ready tomorrow. Bennett’s War releases in theater August 30th.
Here are a few red carpet photos
