Bill Skarsgard’s Comedy-Thriller “Villains” Gets Bought by Gunpowder & Sky

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”20114″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Villains is a comedy-thriller starring Bill Skarsgard, Maika Monroe, Jeffrey Donovan, and Kyra Sedgwick that did well for itself at SXSW earlier this year. Now, Gunpowder & Sky, a global content studio; has bought the rights to Villains from the BRON Studios genre arm The Realm. Villains will be released later this summer, though it hasn’t yet been announced when. Villains was written and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen; both stating after the announcement of the acquisition was made:

“Our brilliant cast and crew worked tirelessly to make this movie something special, and there’s no better affirmation of that goal than finding a home at Gunpowder & Sky. They have a track record of putting out bold and audacious movies, and we’re incredibly proud that Villains will land among that company.”

Villains centers around Skarsgard and Monroe, who are amateur criminals who then break into a suburban home, only to find out that the homeowners (Donovan and Sedgwick) are sadistic people, who will do anything to keep their dark secret from getting out.
