With all the hype for Birds of Prey, pretty much any news that comes in will draw some attention. This however might be bigger than others. According to a report by Omega Underground , an audition tape has been released for the upcoming film. In the tape, the role of the police officer currently titled “Lopez”, is speaking to another officer named “Evans”. This “Lopez” character is believed to be Gotham Detective Renee Montoya.
According to the tapes, there is a description of a murder crime scene with the mention of a “new female assassin that uses a crossbow as someone has been killed and the body as an arrow in their throat”. Sounds a lot like Huntress doesn’t it?
The tapes also mention the name of another crime figure, Cecil Rockus. This is believed to be the cover name for Roman Sionis a.k.a. Black Mask. Umberto Gonzalez of The Wrap reported last month that Black Mask would be the main villain of the film.
With each passing day and as more and more details leak out, expectations for this film are on the rise. We should be getting some casting news in the next couple of months so it will be exciting to put a face with the characters. Which character do you want to see most in Birds of Prey?
